I began creating collages in 2021. A year earlier, I had printed a large portion of my photographic archive in postcard format, only to let them sit untouched in a disorganized heap for months.
Frustrated by the thought that they might never serve a purpose, I impulsively started cutting into some of the images with a cutter, or tearing them by hand, and then reassembling them in new ways. What started as indifference quickly turned into focused concentration, evolving into a practice that I pursued for months.
This process brought me immense satisfaction and gave me a newfound appreciation for having such an extensive photo-archive. The resulting images gradually grew into a new body of work of over 300 collages.
